Snap-on Tools has released a new specialty tool for Ford pick-up trucks. The Ford glow plug harness tool (FGPT) is designed to make installing and removing glow plug connectors easier.

“We have received a lot of feedback from our customers about the need for a specialty tool for glow plug connectors on Ford pick-ups,” said Scott Amundson, product manager for Snap-on. “Our new glow plug harness tool is the perfect solution to a challenge facing our customers, a tool that addresses a specific need and improves productivity and efficiency.”

The tool prevents damage to the harness and connector rail, the company said. The bright orange color makes for easy identification when in dark engine compartments.

The tool is designed for use on 2004 and newer Ford 6L diesel, E-Series, low-cab forward, and F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pick-up trucks.
