Navistar International Corp. has presented the keys to an International LoneStar Class 8 truck to Jeramand Enterprises, the first delivery of the brand’s newest vehicle now in production.
First introduced this February at the Chicago Auto Show, the LoneStar features an aerodynamic design with improved ergonomics, advanced electronics and a quiet cab, Navistar said.
“Our engineering team, with diverse backgrounds in the automotive, aerospace and trucking industries, felt confident that we could develop this truck without spending months in prototyping,” said Steve Gilligan, assistant gm, heavy vehicles, Navistar Truck Group. “We knew we had a winning truck, and we wanted to make it available to our customers as soon as it could be ready.”
