Alliance Truck Parts announces new alternator line and updated website

March 21, 2013

Louisville, KY. Alliance Truck Parts, a brand of Daimler Trucks North America LLC, introduced a new Alliance alternator line here at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The new alternator line, rated for the higher temperatures found in 2007 and 2010 EPA emissions-compliant engines, covers a wide range of applications that meet or exceed current OEM specifications for quality, fit and finish, according to the company.

The heavy-duty alternators are engineered of all-new parts for real durability in all major heavy-duty applications. They are available with pad mount or J180 mount options for compatibility with all truck makes.

Amperage ratings range from the compact 444 model’s 150 Amps, up to a full 210 Amp rating. Temperature ratings for all models are at 125° C with the exception of the compact model which carries a 110° C rating.

Other new features for various models include a redesigned solid lead frame rectifier with a welded diode assembly that runs cooler and lasts longer, strong low-end performance, sealed brush box, case ground, heavy duty front and rear bearings, dual internal fan, and e-coated housing for maximum corrosion resistance.

Alliance Truck Parts alternators utilize a solid lead frame, creating a single, solid connection to all of the internal diodes as well as improving shock and vibration resistance. Plus, as with all Alliance products, they come with a full one year unlimited-mile warranty.

“Alliance Truck Parts is proud to offer this new alternator line, continuing our efforts toprovide customers a strategic line-up of need-it-now and frequent-replacement parts,” said Todd Biggs, director, aftermarket parts and service marketing for Daimler Trucks North America. “Adding rotating electrics to our product offering is another example of how we work to meet our customers’ needs with a quality product at a great value.”

The company has also launched an updated website focusing on expanded product information and content to help customers access the parts information they need. Visitors will find improved navigation and expansive information on product lines as well as improved parts lookup access, according to Alliance.  The new website is also optimized for mobile device viewing.

“As an aftermarket parts leader, Alliance continues to develop new ways to get parts information to our customers when and where they need it,” said Biggs.“For the immediacy of on-the-road repair and replacement, that means digital technology. Our new website delivers critical parts information as well as more dynamic content including product videos and news to inform and entertain.”

Finally, Alliance Truck Parts Racing, sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 12 Ford Mustang driven by Sam Hornish Jr., announced that the company will continue its title sponsorship of the Alliance Truck Parts 250 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). This year’s event, billed as the “Race That Trucking Built” in honor of its customers and fans from the commercial transportation sector, will take place on June 15. The 2013 Alliance Truck Parts 250 will mark the 21st appearance of NASCAR Nationwide racing at MIS.
