The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently issued recall notices for commercial vehicles, including brands from Ford, General Motors, Rivian, and more.

Chevrolet, GMC vans’ driver’s door impact beam improperly welded
General Motors is recalling certain 2025 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. The impact beam located in the driver's side door may have improper welds. An improperly welded door impact beam may not adequately protect occupants in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
This recall potentially affects 82 vehicles. Dealers will replace the driver's side door. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 6. Ford Maverick models’ missing warning for turn signal failure
Ford is recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-848. In the event that one of the rear turn signals stops working, the vehicle will not adjust the turn signal flash rate frequency to warn the driver that a turn signal has failed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." A nonfunctioning exterior turn signal cannot notify other drivers that the vehicle is turning, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford Maverick models’ tail lights may fail
Ford is recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-293. The body control module may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear tail lights. Rear tail lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 2,711 vehicles. Dealers will update the body control module software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 31. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S07.
Mercedes-Benz eSprinter models’ loss of drive power
Daimler Vans USA is recalling certain 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter vehicles. The welds on the helical gear within the rear axle drivetrain may fail, causing a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. In addition, drivetrain failure can result in a vehicle rollaway if the parking brake is not applied, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Nikola Tre FCEV models’ mounting bolts may damage hydrogen tank
Nikola Corporation is recalling certain 2024-2025 Tre FCEV trucks. The hydrogen tank mounting block bolts may be too long and damage the tank. A damaged tank can leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.
This recall potentially affects 95 vehicles. Dealers will inspect and replace the bolts, and replace the hydrogen tank as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 15. Rivian models’ headlight low beams may fail
Rivian is recalling certain 2025 R1S and R1T vehicles. The headlight low beams may fail to illuminate when starting the vehicle in cold weather. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Headlight failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
