Legend looks to make your pickup beds tougher, flatter, and more secure
INDIANAPOLIS—Upfitter Legend wants to make pickup beds more durable and functional. It unveiled a new, no-drill structural floor that reinforces half-ton pickup beds and adds multiple tie-down points.
BedBoss features
- Structural support for work trucks: Prevents bed dents, punctures, and warping during heavy-duty hauling.
- Flexible tie-down points: More than triples the secure cargo anchor points.
- No-drill installation: Secures via factory-supplied D-rings, eliminating rust risks and preserving resale value.
- Non-slip, impact-resistant surface: Enhances durability and grip for cargo stability.
- Easy removal for cleaning: BedBoss detaches in less than 10 minutes for quick access to original truck bed.
Designed for fleets, contractors, or other pickup enthusiasts, the BedBoss can protect and reinforce the bed, the most commonly damaged part of pickups. The product debuted here during NTEA’s Work Truck Week 2025.
Brendan Church, Legend’s chief marketing officer, said that while factory bed liners offer surface-level protection against scratches and abrasions, they leave truck beds vulnerable to dents and punctures when hauling heavy cargo. Additionally, factory tie-down points can be limited and inconveniently placed, restricting secure cargo storage.

Church told FleetOwner that the BedBoss's unlimited tie-downs should make it alluring to fleets looking for extra security. The bed is also completely flat, eliminating the ribs found in most factory pickup beds.
“The fact that it's a no drill installation” should be alluring to pickup owners, Church said. “We've seen other trucks that have to use drills to put new surfaces on—but why are drilling through an $80,000 truck?”
The BedBoss structural floor is made from industrial-grade steel and a 19mm composite floor. It is designed to fit seamlessly into factory mount points and can be installed in less than an hour, according to Church.
There is also a lite version that adds the structural stability without the additional tie-down points. Both versions can fit the Ford F-150 (2020 and later), Ram 1500 (2019 and later), and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2019 and later) with 5.5’ and 6.5’ bed options. Development is ongoing for additional truck models, including 8-foot beds.
Church added that Legend is developing BedBoss solutions for three-quarter and one-ton pickups.
