• Trucks lend a helping hand in Honduras

    Aug. 14, 2015

New Horizons, originally launched in the 1980s, is an annual joint humanitarian assistance exercise conducted by the U.S. Southern Command with a partner nation in Central America, South America or the Caribbean. During August 2015 iteration of that mission, the U.S. Air Force’s 823rd Expeditionary “Red Horse” Squadron helped drill water wells in Honduras using its own trucks as well as contracted units to haul the necessary equipment in and out of that Central American nation.
