Earlier this month, FleetOwner released its 2025 FleetOwner 500: For-Hire list, which ranks the largest motor carrier and commercial fleet operations in the United States. This year, the for-hire list saw major shake-ups in all but the top five spots.
In addition to creating this list, FleetOwner also breaks down these fleets into categories, either by equipment or the fleet's main cargo type or segment. This media gallery will focus on the fleets with the most straight trucks, upcoming FleetOwner top 10 lists will rank fleets by most tractors, trailers, and other subsections.

By comparison to the overall, the 10 fleets featured in this media gallery have mostly held onto their rankings compared to last year. TruckMovers ranked No. 7 in 2024 but rose to No. 5 this year with 2,323 trucks. UniGroup ranked No. 5 last year but didn't make the cut this year; the fleet is at No. 27 on the list as a whole. Opposingly, GardaWorld didn't rank last year but came in at No. 8 this year with 2,074 trucks. FedEx and UPS still dominate with 118,689 and 104,462 trucks, respectively.
