Here are the top 10 motor vehicle fleets, according to the 2025 FleetOwner 500: For-Hire list.

The 2025 FleetOwner 500: For-Hire list ranks the most prominent motor carrier and commercial fleet operations in the U.S. by total registered power units. Released in February, the FO500 experienced numerous ranking shifts following a busy 2024 marked by carrier acquisitions, mergers, consolidations, and expansions.

In addition to ranking the largest for-hire fleet operations overall, FleetOwner categorizes these companies by equipment, cargo types, and industry segments. This media gallery focuses on motor vehicle fleets.

Motor vehicle fleets are exactly as described—fleets that transport motor vehicles. This year’s top 10 fleets have remained relatively the same compared to 2024. One notable difference is the entry of Proficient Auto Logistics at No. 8 on this list and No. 136 in the FO500. Norton Transport also achieved noticeable gains this year, moving up 59 spots in the FO500 and three spots in the top 10.
