The Racor Div. of Parker Hannifin has released new water-detection modules and kits for ensuring that engine fuel remains water-free.
Racor’s water-detection modules have internal electronics that pass a small electrical current across metal pins. If water is present in the fuel, the water will come in contact with the pin tips, Racor said.
When this happens, the module provides a signal to the engine computer. Electronic detection modules automatically reset once water recedes from the pin tips.
Detailed installation and usage instructions are included with each module.
The modules are 12- or 24-volt and include numerous modules to choose from to specifically meet filter and engine assemblies.
