Founded in 1982, Meritor's 504,000 sq. ft. Fletcher NC-based manufacturing facility employs 737 workers and has produced 5.5 million vehicle axles over its 30-year history. Meritor invested $23 million over the last three years in its Fletcher factory as well to upgrade its production technology, including the addition of a carburizing furnace, among other systems.
