Rush buys Great Southern

San Antonio, TX-based Peterbilt dealership Rush Enterprises will buy Great Southern Peterbilt Inc.’s Peterbilt and Hino truck dealership in Jacksonville, FL, for $22.3 million in cash

San Antonio, TX-based Peterbilt dealership Rush Enterprises will buy Great Southern Peterbilt Inc.’s Peterbilt and Hino truck dealership in Jacksonville, FL, for $22.3 million in cash.

W. Marvin Rush, chairman of Rush Enterprises, said the Great Southern acquisition allows him to sell Peterbilt and Hino trucks and parts in Jacksonville. The acquisition gives Rush its fifth location in Florida.

Great Southern will operate at its current location as a full-service Rush Truck Center offering a full line of Peterbilt heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks, Hino medium-duty trucks, parts, service and body shop operations.
