International Truck and Engine Corp. recently gave customers the opportunity to ride and drive its trucks and meet key supplier partners, and learn more about how International’s newest vehicles provide customer solutions.
Customers were able to drive and/or ride in 50 different heavy-duty and severe-service trucks, most with 2002 emission-compliant engines. The trucks were outfitted with typical payloads in real-world work environments, both on- and off-highway.
"Clearly, our customers’ biggest concern when it comes to heavy-duty trucks is the new engine technology, and it will continue to be the most important issue as we work towards the next set of emissions requirements in 2007," said Steve Keate, president of International's truck group. "It’s critical that we provide our customers with the information they need to understand how new technologies affect their businesses."
