Emery Expedite, which provides door-to-door air and ground emergency shipment services, has changed its name to Menlo Worldwide Expedite, making it the last subsidiary of defunct Emery Worldwide to remove the name 'Emery' from its title.

Last year, Emery's parent company, CNF Inc., created Menlo Worldwide to unify the three of its independent affiliated operating companies: Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Emery Forwarding and Vector SCM.

CNF shut down its air cargo subsidiary, Emery Worldwide, and its air cargo airline in December, following a voluntarily shut down of operations on Aug. 13 following a Federal Aviation Administration investigation into alleged safety violations and the aftershocks of the Sept. 11 attacks.
