Reinhardt to run Detroit Diesel

Carsten Reinhardt will become CEO of Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) effective April 1, the engine maker said today. Jim Morrow will continue as DDC president and head of operations & sales, and report to Reinhardt. Reinhardt is currently gm of Freightliner LLC's truck manufacturing plant in Portland, OR. Carsten Reinhardt will become CEO of Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) effective April 1, the engine maker said today.

Jim Morrow will continue as DDC president and head of operations & sales, and report to Reinhardt.

Reinhardt is currently gm of Freightliner LLC's truck manufacturing plant in Portland, OR. He was vp and gm of operations for Freightliner LLC subsidiary Western Star Trucks from May 2001 to September 2002.

Reinhardt will report to Gerald Weber, DaimlerChrysler senior vp and head of the Powersystems Business Unit.
