TMCA hosts Marketing Boot Camp seminar

The Transportation Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA) announced it will be hosting a seminar designed to help trucking professionals better understand the fundamentals of marketing, sales and communications.

The seminar, titled “Marketing Boot Camp,” will take place February 10, 2005 at the Oak Brook Marriott in Chicago. Brian Everett, TMCA executive director says, “The marketing function, which includes sales and communications, can have a significant impact on the success of a transportation organization if the proper strategic thinking and resources are applied.”

The full-day seminar will show trucking professionals how to leverage marketing in order to attain their corporate goals. Topics will include how to motivate buyers to take action, developing stronger key messages and measuring ROI (return on investment). It will also provide ideas and information on how to effectively use communications tactics such as web sites, media relations, advertising, and direct mail to achieve desired results.

Those interested in attending the seminar should contact TMCA at 952-442-5638, Ext. 208, or visit www.TMCAtoday.org.
