iNet-Blue Corp. has introduced the TraXall penguin wireless temperature system for automatically monitoring, reporting, tracking and logging the temperature of refrigerated and frozen shipments in trailers and cargo containers.

The system is comprised of small wireless transmitter units that permit operators, shippers and consignees to precisely deploy multiple Penguin units in the trailer or cargo container. If the Penguin unit detects temperatures within the trailer or cargo that are out of the desired parameters, iNet-Blue said the unit will immediately send continuous alerts to the driver and/or to a dispatcher's pager via the Internet.

The low-profile Penguin temperature transmitter unit automatically sends data every few minutes to a receiver at the front of the trailer and/or to a receiver in the cab for the driver. The receiver has an RS-232 serial port that can interface to a variety of devices such as displays, wireless modems and embedded microcontrollers in other systems.
