J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. announced that its Tifton, GA distribution center has been named Target Corp.'s 2000 Outbound Carrier of the Year.
The honor was given to J.B. Hunt Dedicated Contract Services for achieving a 99.8% on-time delivery service record at the Tifton site, the highest on-time service of any Target distribution center in 2000.
"J. B. Hunt's on-time performance to our stores has been exceptionally good," said Lawrence Tudor, regional transportation manager for the Tifton distribution center. "Their responsiveness to our needs has been excellent, and the local J.B. Hunt team is a pleasure to work with."
The company also received two All-Star Performer awards from Target for employees assigned to the Target account.
