George Cravens, president of Utility Trailer Sales Co. of Arizona, has been selected as the new Arizona Trucking Assn. chairman.

Utility Trailer Sales is part of Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co., manufacturer of refrigerated, dry van, flatbeds, and curtainsided trailers.

Cravens succeeds Colin Stewart and is only the second allied member chairman in the organization’s 74-year history.

“The board of director’s position is typically given to carrier members and it’s very rare that an allied member would be elected as chairman,” said Craig Bennett, senior vice president, sales and marketing at Utility. “With George’s demonstrated ability managing Utility Trailer Sales of Arizona and his past achievements with the ATA, he is undoubtedly the perfect candidate for their new chairman.”
