Fontaine Fifth Wheel has promoted Henry Bell to the position of global president. He had served as president of Fontaine Fifth Wheel − North America since 2007. In his new position, Bell is responsible for global OEM relations, strategic sourcing and product development.

According to the company, Bell “sets the overall direction for Fontaine Fifth Wheel and leads the team that works with OEM customers around the world.” He also retains full responsibility for Fontaine Fifth Wheel − North America. Fontaine Fifth Wheel has operations in North America, South America and Europe.

“With this promotion, Henry has been challenged to profitably grow Fontaine Fifth Wheel in all regions of the world,” said Glenn Chambers, president of Marmon Highway Technologies (MHT) Commercial Truck group, which is Fontaine Fifth Wheel’s parent firm. “He and his team are charged with developing new fifth wheel products that meet customer needs internationally. They will also utilize global sourcing to search worldwide to find the best value proposition for Fontaine Fifth Wheel and our customers.”

Bell joined MHT as president of the Fleet Business Unit of Fontaine Trailer in 2005. He had previously spent 15 years with refuse collection vehicle manufacturer Heil Environmental in a number of positions, including sales, quality control and production. He served as general manager of Heil’s parts business, Parts Central, for two years before being promoted to general manager of Bayne Machine Works, a Heil subsidiary, in 2001.
