Mack has begun its 2008 Performance Tour, where it will showcase the newest Mack models, equipped with Mack MP7 and MP8 engines, around the United States. The tour began in Lexington, KY on June 16th and will run through October 31th, where it will wrap up in Lavergne, TN.

“As the number of North American engine choices narrows, we think customers need to take a long, close look at what Mack can do for them,” said Tom Kelly, Mack vp of marketing. “The Tour is an outstanding way for them to experience the quality, power, performance and fuel economy of the Mack MP engine family, so they can see what they’ve been missing. We are making a special effort to reach out to these customers.”

Mack will showcase the Rawhide editions of the Pinnacle highway and Granite vocational models, as well as EPA Smartway-certified Pinnacle tractors, the company said.
