Sister OEMs Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA) and Mack Trucks Inc. are both continuing long standing traditions this year by creating unique trucks to honor America's military service men and women.
VTNA and workers at its New River Valley, VA, plant along with UAW Local 2069's Veterans Committee have decorated a Volvo VN tractor with custom murals honoring the sacrifices of military personnel. The graphics highlighted the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, and the 65th anniversary of D-Day. Mack and its employees joined forces to create a custom-designed graphic wrap on a Pinnacle tractor highlighting the sacrifices made by servicemen and servicewomen.
Both trucks took part in the annual Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom Rally to honor America's fallen and missing military heroes, held this year in Washington D.C., on Memorial Day.
