The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has announced it will hold its sixth annual National Safety Conference from September 11 to 12 at the Hyatt Dulles in Herndon, VA. The conference will feature presentations and discussions with government representatives and expert panels with leading safety advocates, NPTC said.

“Private fleets have earned a reputation for unsurpassed safety excellence,” said Greg Whisenant, transportation safety manager for Shaw Industries Group, Inc. and chair of the NPTC Safety Committee. “Programs such as the National Safety Conference – during which subject matter experts from throughout the industry share their insights, best practices, and winning strategies – are one of the reasons why.”

According to NPTC, the program will focus on topics such as regulatory updates, safety and liability, safety leadership, predictive modeling, understanding inspections, maintenance, driver wellness programs, safety technology and defensive driving training.
