FedEx raising LTL rates again

June 11, 2012

LTL carrier FedEx Freight, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., plans to increase its shipping rates 6.9% effective July 9 this year – a rate change that affects shipments within the contiguous U.S., between the contiguous U.S. and Canada, and within Canada, the company said.

The rate for cross-border FedEx Freight shipments between the U.S. and Mexico will also increase 6.9% on July 9, the carrier noted.

Those increases follow a 6.75% boost to FedEx Freight’s rates back in September last year. However, the carrier added that its fuel surcharge will remain unchanged.
