Clean energy consulting firm partners with WTS International for advancement of women in transportation

March 20, 2015

Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA), a clean transportation and energy consulting firm, has partnered with WTS International. WTS is an association that promotes the advancement of women in transportation.

The new partnership represents a financial commitment in support of the association’s programs and operations internationally and is the first such commitment from transportation’s environmental sector, WTS said.

“GNA is excited to officially be a partner of WTS International. As the nation works to resolve its climate change and air quality issues, it’s vital that our transportation leaders—civic, political, and private sector—present a diverse range of perspectives in tackling these important issues. WTS International’s mission to facilitate the attraction, retention, and advancement of talented women in the transportation sector is well aligned with our goals at GNA,” said Erik Neandross, CEO at GNA.

As part of this partnership, GNA and WTS International have teamed up to host an annual Women in ACT (Alternative Clean Transportation) Summit to showcase accomplished female leaders who are shaping the future of clean transportation.

The Summit is taking place Monday, May 4, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas as part of the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, North America’s largest alternative fuel and clean vehicle technology show.

WTS was founded in 1977 and has grown to an international member network of more than 6,000 transportation professionals, including both women and men. Much of the networking, professional development, and industry collaboration that happens at the association within its local chapters and on an international scale depend greatly on support from both the private and public sector.

“WTS is thrilled that GNA has joined the roster of companies that have committed to supporting the mission of WTS international. GNA’s corporate partnership will support our 2015 programming across the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. The workforce development initiatives supported by partnerships like these have an impact on the advancement of women in transportation and on the world’s infrastructure,” said Marcia Ferranto, President and CEO at WTS.

In addition to its technical consulting practice, GNA hosts two of North America’s leading alternative fuel and advanced vehicle technology conferences—the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo and the High Horsepower (HHP) Summit.

The 2015 Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo is taking place May 4-7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
