IFCO Systems opened its newest reverse logistics facilities in San Antonio TX and Kansas City MO recently. The addition of these facilities brings IFCO's total number of pallet management service facilities to 56.

These cross-dock facilities are designed to enable pallet and container users to outsource all pallet and container handling and management activities to IFCO at an off-site location. Transferring these non-core activities to an off-site location allows customers to improve labor and asset utilization, increase warehouse productivity, gain warehouse space, and expand merchandise backhaul opportunities.

With more than 170 locations worldwide, IFCO operates a pool of more than 76 million reusable plastic containers globally. The containers are used primarily to transport fresh produce from producers to grocery retailers.
