The Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of American Trucking Associations is taking applications for a diesel truck technician scholarship to WyoTech, a technical college in Laramie WY and Blairsville PA.

This scholarship offering is part of an ongoing effort by TMC's Professional Technician Development Committee (PTDC) to promote and enhance the professionalism of commercial vehicle technicians. PTDC will help determine the winner of the WyoTech scholarship. Both TMC and WyoTech will administer the scholarship program.

The scholarship will be awarded for 1,500 clock hours (nine months) of attendance to either WyoTech's Laramie or Blairsville campuses. Students may select from start dates of Oct 1, 2007; Dec 31, 2007; or March 31, 2008.

TMC/WyoTech scholarship applicants must have a sponsor who is a current dues-paying TMC member or is employed/contracted by a company with at least one current dues-paying TMC member, and the application must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from that sponsor.

Access http://tmc.truckline.com to download application forms, or phone 703-838-1763. TMC must receive the complete application package by June 1, 2007.
