Total Logistic Control (TLC) has been awarded a new transportation contract from Grand Rapids MI-based retailer Meijer Inc. Under the new multiyear agreement, TLC will provide transportation services to Meijer stores in Indiana and Illinois, with an emphasis on new stores in key markets, many of which are scheduled to open in the next two years.

TLC's multi-temperature capabilities allow the company to handle the diverse product mix of the leading retailer, transporting general merchandise, perishables, refrigerated, and frozen items from Meijer's Lansing MI Distribution Center. TLC will dedicate 36 drivers to the 24-hour, seven-days-a-week program, including several on-site management personnel. The company is expected to hire additional drivers as the program expands.
