J J Keller & Associates Inc's new Transport Security For Hazmat and General Carriers manual helps companies establish a security program to safeguard employees, facilities, equipment, and cargo.

Based on Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration recommendations and industry best practices, the manual explains types of security threats; discusses personnel security issues; provides employee personal security and safety training; and examines in-transit security issues like loading and unloading, stopping and parking, and securing a trailer.

The manual also offers information on hazardous materials control, including how to develop a policy, create a security recovery plan, and protect and manage hazmat records. A special section covers establishing security policies and procedures as well as using transportation security technology.
