A new version of Michelin Americas Truck Tires www.michelintruck.com web site went live Aug 1, 2000, using Cold Fusion technology. Cold Fusion is a software system that facilitates Michelin's control of site content. Authorized design administrators can enter sections of the site to modify and update both new tire and MRT tread designs, news releases, event schedules, and product images. Information maintained in the Michelin research and development group's technical database become immediately available for a live feed to the web site. Any specification changes, including dimensions, loads, or pressures, are added instantly with no downtime.
