Penske Truck Rental is supporting Mission Heart Hug, a program dedicated to collecting and distributing shoebox gifts to military spouses. The company will aid the organization by providing rental trucks to help pick up and transport donated items.
“We are extremely grateful to Penske Truck Rental for its support of Mission Heart Hug and sharing in our mission to honor and support military spouses,” said Diane and Steven Rumley, co-founders of Mission Heart Hug, which is based in North Carolina. “Their support will have a huge impact on our ability to accomplish our goal of reaching and encouraging military spouses now and throughout the New Year.”
Penske Truck Rental joins a number of other organizations involved in supporting this effort, including Chick-fil-A, Crescent State Bank, and Treasured Pages.
Jim Feenstra, Penske’s senior vice-president–marketing, said, “Many of our associates and senior management have ties to the military, and as a business we’ve also recruited from the military. Plus, military families often rely on our rental trucks to help them with their moves as well. So this relationship is a great fit all around, and we’re happy to be part of it.”
