Copeland recently released a new Go real-time 4G/5G-NA tracker for shipping products within the cold chain.
The “next-generation” alkaline product leverages Wi-Fi and 4G/5G cellular technology to deliver real-time data for customers shipping high-value products, the company reported. These trackers can monitor in-transit conditions such as temperature within 15 meters (49.2 ft.) of positioning accuracy for up to 20 days.
“Improvements to location accuracy drive enhanced insight to shipments,” Amy Childress, Copeland global vice president of monitoring and cold chain, said in a news release. “Whether customers are transporting food, healthcare items, or other valuable cargo, our technology enables our customers’ shipments to be delivered at the highest possible quality.”
Oversight, the cloud-based online software platform from Copeland, enables trackers to be configured to notify users in real time via text or email if any deviation of temperature-sensitive conditions arise during shipment, the company added. Automated reporting is generated through the Oversight dashboard and Oversight mobile app, where users can receive real-time alerts via text and email. Users also can view current maps, graphs, and charts of key shipments, including temperature, security, and location details. Shipment summary reports include additional details such as device serial number, tip name and duration, mean kinetic temperature, and time above or below range.
With multiple battery options available, Copeland helps customers meet their goals to increase shipment safety and reduce the number of devices that end up in landfills by using the company’s Go GreenSense recycling program. Copeland provides customers with eco-friendly return boxes, pre-paid postage labels, and any required battery shipment notification labels. Users can return any Copeland Go tracker products for proper battery and component recycling.
