Steve Lawrence of Red Wing MN, chief executive officer of Lawrence NationaLease, was unanimously elected by the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) board of directors as 2013-2014 chairman at the association’s 2013 annual meeting in Naples FL recently. This year’s meeting was a celebration of the group’s 35th anniversary.
The TRALA board also elected these officers:
•Dan Murphy, president and CEO of Idealease Inc, North Barrington IL, was elected vice-chairman.
•Scott Anderson, senior vice-president of Rush Enterprises, New Braunfels TX, was elected secretary.
•Kevin Coughlin, manager of leasing products for Daimler Trucks North America, Portland OR, was elected treasurer.
•Tom Brown, president of Brown NationaLease, Des Moines IA, is immediate past chairman.
These members were also elected by TRALA members to the board for a new 2013-2016 term:
•Dennis Cooke, president, Global Fleet Management Solutions of Ryder System Inc, Miami FL •John Crockett, senior vice-president of operations of Penske Truck Leasing Co LP, Duluth GA •Bob Muhs, vice-president of government affairs and counsel of Avis Budget Group, Parsippany NJ •Brian Hard, president of Penske Truck Leasing, Reading PA These members were appointed to the TRALA board to serve one-year terms for 2013-2014:
