Par Logistics Management Systems Corporation (Par LMS), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corp, announced that it has entered into an agreement with Target Corporation for Par’s LMS RT-200 monitoring system.

The Par LMS RT-200 system generates the information fleets need to monitor and control reefer temperatures, react and respond to temperature alarms, and optimize logistics and management of cold chain assets and resources. Par’s customizable reporting provides users with the alerts and alarms for reefer temperatures, reefer operability, low fuel, abnormal or excessive fuel use, and excessive reefer dwell time.

Par LMS President John W Sammon III said, “Par is pleased to announce this significant selection of our RT-200 technology system. This is an important development for our business and is a welcome addition to our cold chain asset management operations portfolio. We are very pleased to have Target Stores as a new customer.”

Par LMS began in 2000 with a grant from the United States Department of Transportation to develop best-in-breed tracking systems for all types of assets in the supply chain. Today the firm focuses on designing and producing communication technology that provides managers of refrigerated fleets with more information about their assets throughout the entire cold chain—whether trailer or container and over the road or rail. Par has taken this cold chain technology and adapted it for non-refrigerated or mixed fleets and brings the same level of visibility to these fleets over the road or rails.
