Par Logistics Management Systems Corporation (PAR LMS), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corp, has been selected by Golden State Foods (GSF) to provide its cold chain management system to the GSF food distribution network.

Par’s system provides real-time monitoring of food product temperature continually during the transit cycle. The monitoring will also provide immediate alerts to truck operators and shipping managers to any variances in food products during transit. This capability now affords GSF instant visibility into all product temperatures throughout its distribution network and routes and sets a standard for cold chain temperature monitoring and control in the food distribution industry.

“With today’s selection of Par’s monitoring and tracking solution, Golden State Foods has taken pro-active food safety standards to the next level,” said Bill Pocilujko, GSF manager. “Our operations are now reorganizing around real-time management and tracking of food products and their constant temperatures during the cold chain delivery system.”

GSF services more than 20,000 restaurants on three continents. Founded in 1947, the $4 billion company has about 3,000 employees worldwide. Its core businesses include processing and distribution of liquid products, meat products, produce, bakery, and other services providing a variety of networked systems for the supply chain spectrum.
