The Rypos Active DPF/ULETRU diesel particulate filter is California Air Resources Board (CARB) Level 3 Plus-verified for use on Carrier and Thermo King transportation refrigeration units (TRU) using 2003 and newer model year engines.

This Rypos system offers fleet owners and operators the lowest total cost for TRU compliance with CARB’s Airborne Toxic Control Measures (ATCMs). The filter reduces particulate matter by more than 85% in TRU applications and offers 60% savings over the cost of engine re-power.

The Rypos DPF ULETRU is engineered to work seamlessly with both Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units without the need for any operator interaction. The system mounts easily within the TRU frame and can be installed in about four hours. It requires only 12 volts of DC power and is warrantied for four years or 2,600 hours.

Its modular design allows the Rypos DPF filter to be moved from unit to unit within the fleet, providing flexibility for retiring or selling older units. Rypos’ nationwide dealer service network has more than 30 dealers in California including select Thermo King and Carrier Transicold locations.

The active, electronically regenerating diesel exhaust Rypos Active DPF/ULETRU filter system replaces the muffler and operates online without engine shutdown. Minimal maintenance is required.
