PRESENTED by the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), the 2014 Distribution Solutions Conference (DSC) was conducted October 21–23 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis IN.
This conference provided insights and resources that can strengthen warehouse and transportation operations, address key human resource concerns, and provide vision on strategic issues for company leadership.
Alison Levine opened the conference with a discussion on leadership. She was captain of the First American Women’s Everest Expedition, is an adjunct West Point instructor on leadership, and is author of On the Edge: The Art of High-Impact Leadership.
On DSC’s day two, National Football League Hall of Famer, coach, player, and commentator Mike Ditka shared lessons he has learned through a life of commitment and attention to the fundamentals.
