Pelican Products Inc has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category through its European subsidiary Peli BioThermal.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are one of the world’s most distinguished business awards that celebrate and recognize enterprise excellence. These awards are made annually by Great Britain’s monarch for the highest levels of excellence.
Pelican won the accolade for demonstrating outstanding results in innovation within the temperature-controlled packaging sector serving the pharmaceutical industry. Specifically, the honor was awarded for Pelican BioThermal’s Chronos Advance, a range of high-performance shipping systems using advanced technology.
“The Queen’s Award recognizes our commitment to providing trusted products and services to our customer base worldwide,” said Lyndon Faulkner, CEO of Pelican Products. “We celebrate the award with gratitude.”
This achievement was announced with other 2017 award winners on Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday, April 21. In the coming months, royal representatives will visit the company’s United Kingdom facility in Leighton Buzzard, and representatives from Pelican will be among those invited to attend a reception at Buckingham Palace.
Pelican Products is a portfolio company of Behrman Capital, a private equity investment firm based in New York and San Francisco.
