New high-performance refrigerated trailer for the Australian market designed to deliver elite Ferroplast thermal performance and reliability supported by a national dealer network.

Freighter Group recently unveiled the Freez-R high-performance refrigerated trailer, which is designed to deliver elite thermal performance and reliability through a local design supported by a national dealer network.

The Australian trailer manufacturer, formerly known as MaxiTrans, introduced the Freez-R during an event in Ballarat attended by customers, suppliers, and industry representatives that also showcased its manufacturing facility.

“We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for our business with the release of Freez-R,” Greg L’Estrange Freighter executive chairman, said in a news release. “Through our partnership with Schmitz Cargobull, collaboration with customers, and our industry experience, we have been able to design and create a product with the exacting needs for the Australian market.”

The Freez-R is capable of achieving an internal temperature of minus-30 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for transporting frozen goods and other temperature-sensitive freight, Freighter reported. The body is constructed with Ferroplast technology, which, when combined with the locally manufactured Freighter chassis and national support of the Freighter Group, delivers “unmatched” thermal performance and reliability.

At the Freez-R showcase in Ballarat, attendees saw a complete B-double combination they could explore up close. Freighter also presented interactive discussion areas for customers to talk with the company’s in-house product experts, as well as speak directly with representatives from Schmitz Cargobull.

“We are overwhelmed and delighted with the response from our customers at the Freez-R product showcase event,” L’Estrange said. “It was great to walk them through our new product and provide them with a firsthand insight into what makes the product achieve its industry leading thermal capabilities.”

One of the key discussion areas was around telematics, and TrailerConnect Pro telematics is standard on all Freez-R products, Freighter said.

“The Freez-R is Freighter Group’s first trailer offering to come with TrailerConnect Pro telematics as standard,” L’Estrange said.

“It was great to see so many of our customers interested in the technology that has the most comprehensive trailer information available from any telematics provider in Australia. It delivers data from the fridge plant, as well as internal temperature control and EBS systems, allowing drivers and fleet operators to access real-time information that assists with freight management, predicative maintenance, and servicing.”

One of the key Freez-R benefits is the support provided by Freighter’s dealer and service support network, which is trained to service and repair Ferroplast bodies.

“Freighter Group is committed to delivering total peace of mind for customers when it comes to purchasing any of its products, which is demonstrated by the total commitment to supporting customers for the life of the product,” L’Estrange concluded.

“This means greater access to a mobile support network, the expansion of service centers in conveniently located areas, and comfort in knowing when accidents occur or when maintenance is required, we are there ready to help manage their uptime.”
