Penske Logistics has introduced a new initiative to honor the safest of its 4,500 truck drivers across North America. The three-tiered Premier Driver Recognition Program made its debut as 26 associates were highlighted for their driving excellence at an awards ceremony in Reading PA recently.
There are three program classes, correlating with the number of years of safe driving without an accident: Diamond (20 years), Platinum (15 years) and Gold (10 years). The Diamond event took place recently, with the Platinum and Gold programs to come online in 2018.
“We are excited to honor our industry-leading truck drivers with our Premier Driver Recognition Program,” said Marc Althen, president of Penske Logistics. “I am very proud of these 2017 Diamond class winners. I marvel at their ability to service our customers each and every day with accident-free performances of over two decades.”
