New options from the manufacturer include CenterSeal load partitions for refrigerated units and captive-beam securement for dry vans.

Utility Trailer Manufacturing recently introduced new options for its 4000D-X composite dry freight vans and 3000R refrigerated trailers designed to increase versatility and performance.

“At Utility Trailer, we’re driven by a legacy of meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” Steve Bennett, Utility president and COO, said in a news release. “The 3000R with CenterSeal and the 4000D-X Composite with captive beam load bar securement system showcases our dedication to delivering solutions that enhance performance and efficiency.”

CenterSeal configuration for multi-temp trailers

The innovative CenterSeal offset configuration is now available for the 3000R multi-temp trailers with Cargobull 655MT TRUs (transport refrigeration units). The CenterSeal load partition system creates multiple “lane” zones inside the trailer and can be configured to offset toward either side, enhancing load versatility and thermal efficiency.

“Our 3000R reefer with CenterSeal is designed for maximum flexibility and performance in multi-temperature-sensitive transport,” Bennett said. “The Cargobull TRU host unit cools one compartment with a snorkel and air chute, while the Cargobull remote evaporator maintains a separate temperature on the other compartment.

“This dual-system approach allows either side to sustain deep-frozen conditions independently, meeting even the most demanding cold-chain requirements.”

For added versatility, the center wall can be easily adjusted to vary compartment sizes or removed entirely for single-temperature operations. The new design incorporates advanced air circulation from the Cargobull 655MT TRU that can support all three configurations without the initial expense, lead time, or high maintenance associated with dual discharge units from competitors.

“This design reflects our commitment to solving real-world refrigerated transportation challenges with quality and innovation,” Bennett said.

Double the delivery power

Utility’s 4000D-X Composite dry van, equipped with the Kinedyne Kaptive beam system, offers versatile load securement and double-decking capabilities.

The design used for double-decking, featuring vertical single-track installation, enhances payload capacity. Recessed-mounted into the side wall lining, the vertical track on the 100-in. inside-width model retains its high-strength, snag-free composite wall and its standard A-track logistics posts.

“This system offers the most versatile options for increased payload and load securement,” Bennett maintaiend. “This game-changing system ensures load bars and cargo remain securely in place, reducing shifting and enhancing safety. When not in use, the guided load bars can be moved to the ceiling, providing vertical clearance for loading and unloading.”
