ParkPro partners with Florida Panthers to connect truck drivers with parking spaces
ParkPro, a free web platform and app that shows commercial drivers where truck parking is available, recently announced the NHL’s Florida Panthers as its flagship host. Focused on underutilized parking lots at stadiums, arenas, coliseums, malls, conferences, and civic centers, ParkPro connects commercial drivers seeking safe, convenient parking spaces with pre-vetted properties on its platform. This supports drivers in meeting delivery deadlines for the businesses they serve.
“The heart of our nation’s supply chain lies with the truckers who bear the great responsibility of delivering the products our families depend on daily,” said Tra Williams, the founder of ParkPro. “Ensuring the wellbeing of our nation’s truck drivers is a moral responsibility and a crucial economic necessity. In support of our commitment to aiding our nation’s drivers, we are proud to work with the Florida Panthers as our flagship host.”

In addition to the Florida Panthers, collaborative support comes from the Florida Trucking Association—the State of Florida’s sole state liaison between the trucking industry and the legislative, regulatory, and judicial branches of state and federal government—to facilitate industry and venue adoption.
“We are proud to partner with ParkPro to offer our unused parking lots at Amerant Bank Arena as a solution for long-haul truck drivers to rest along routes for their safety and wellbeing of drivers around them,” said Rob Stevenson, Florida Panthers EVP of People & Facilities. “We have a unique responsibility as a sports and entertainment location to be innovative when it comes to leveraging the spaces we operate for functionality and the wellbeing of our community.”
This announcement comes after national parking news earlier this week. The U.S. Department of Transportation recently announced plans to invest $300 million in truck parking projects in seven states to help alleviate one of the most significant problems in the trucking industry: truck parking.
Truck parking has been an industry problem for years. Going into 2024, the only thing that concerned trucking industry stakeholders more than truck parking was the economy, according to the American Transportation Research Institute’s annual industry issues study. According to experts, it will take government and private sector action to tackle the parking problem.
