Night vision for trucks in the U.S. and Canada is available with the PathFindIR system, manufactured by Flir Systems, and offered by Pana-Pacific, which said the system can help drivers see potential hazards long before they would with traditional headlights alone.
According to Pana-Pacific, the PathFindIR is a compact thermal imager that allows vision up to four times farther than typical headlights, which illuminate up to 450 ft. ahead. The product “sees” heat, not light, so it can identify animals, pedestrians and disabled vehicles in good weather or bad, at day or night, the company said.
The kit includes a thermal night vision camera, a high-resolution 7 in. LCD monitor, 20 ft. cable and installation instructions.
