Two new devices have been added to Rand McNally’s IntelliRoute TND line of truck-specific GPS units. Both units include a number of new features as well as a traffic predictor option.

The 5-in. IntelliRoute TND 510 and the larger, high-definition 7-in. IntelliRoute TND 710 add a virtual dashboard that includes odometer, speed, altitude and other key metrics, and real-time traffic compatibility to calculate driving time based on congestion ahead. That feature is available with the purchase of an additional accessory from www.randmcnally.com.

The 710 includes a traffic predictor that integrates historic traffic patterns into routing.

Other enhancements featured on both devices include the ability to view current location by mile marker; truck-specific points-of-interest including truck washes, towing and service, and truck repair information from Truck Down; latitude and longitude location finder; destination locator by zip code; quick planner that incorporates user-defined average speed to determine point-to-point time estimates; multi-stop entire route preview that includes detail view, highway view, trip summary and summary map view; enhanced voice warnings for sharp curves, upgrade/downgrade/ construction and more; and loaded vs. empty option.

“Rand McNally is committed to the commercial transportation industry and to the professional driver,” said Dave Muscatel, CEO . “Our industry-leading IntelliRoute TND line has been enhanced to provide further value to the over-the-road driver.”
