A range of new upgrades and options to TMW System’s suite of products are coming on line to meet the unique needs of the fuel supply chain operations for convenience stores and other retail gasoline and diesel outlets.

Unveiled at TMW’s 2009 TransForum user conference in Nashville this week, the company’s Fuel Supply Chain Transport Management System (TMS) now offers eight powerful modules that can be purchased separately or as an integrated system.

Web portals for customer and carrier interaction, as well as integrated voice response (IVR) technology, are part of the application set of scalable solutions designed to fit the needs of diversified petroleum marketers, convenience store chains, vertically integrated oil companies and fleets dedicated to fuel transport. In particular, new optimization technologies within the TMS package help improve shift-based driver scheduling and right-sourcing fuel purchases, said David Mook, COO & CTO of TMW Systems.

“These new applications are designed to streamline fuel order management, improve order and replenishment forecasting and optimize driver shift-based scheduling for added productivity,” he noted. “We know that petroleum marketers and jobbers as well as oil companies … need to more effectively manage inventory at dozens or even thousands of locations and to efficiently manage company trucks or contracted carriers in fulfilling orders in the very dynamic world of retail fuel supply.”

Mook added that more than 11,000 tanker trucks delivering fuel across North America now operate under the management of fuel supply chain applications from TMW
