Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has released a BlackBerry version of its TruckerNet mobile application.

The app is also available for the iPhone and Google’s Android platforms. According to DTNA, the app has been downloaded more than 6,000 times since its introduction at the 2011 Mid-America Trucking Show.

Drivers can use the app for 24/7 access to service locations and parts information, including current parts specials. Drivers also have the ability to access immediate breakdown service support with connections to the Excelerator breakdown assistance service through the app’s one-touch interface. Excelerator offers on-call support for roadside assistance, tow/extraction and monitoring of repairs.

“The launch of TruckerNet for BlackBerry completes our coverage of the three biggest smartphone operating systems being used by truck drivers today,” said Daniel Haggerty, director of parts marketing for DTNA. “The download response to TruckerNet has been tremendous and we continue to look for ways to enhance and streamline the app to make life easier for drivers and managers alike.”

More than 1,000 parts and service locations are available on TruckerNet.
