Grote Industries introduces new trailer safety technologies to reduce rear-end and roadside collisions
Grote Industries recently unveiled two new safety technologies at the ATA 2025 Management Conference & Exhibition: H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE and the 4SEE Rear-Collision Warning System, aimed at reducing roadside and rear-end collisions. H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE enhances trailer visibility with digital and lighting alerts, while 4SEE Rear-Collision Warning uses radar and strobe lamps to warn following motorists of potential crashes.
“Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do at Grote Industries,” Dominic Grote, president and CEO of Grote Industries, said. “The need for advanced commercial vehicle safety solutions is growing as fleets face tighter FMCSA expectations and the very real risks of roadside and rear-end collisions. H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE and the 4SEE Rear-Collision Warning System directly address those risks, giving fleets practical, proactive tools that help protect drivers and reduce crashes.”
Both systems integrate with Grote’s 4SEE Digital Harness for secure data transfer, lamp-specific light-out detection, and over-the-air updates. Live demonstrations at the conference showed how these tools provide fleets with real-time alerts and enhanced roadside protection to help prevent accidents and improve overall driver safety. International and PlusAI partner with NVIDIA to advance Level 4 autonomous trucks for commercial fleets
International Motors and PlusAI are advancing Level 4 autonomous trucks using the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion platform, combining factory-built vehicles with AI-driven SuperDrive technology. The collaboration leverages International's manufacturing expertise, PlusAI's autonomous driving software, and NVIDIA's AI computing infrastructure to create production-ready trucks for large-scale freight operations.
"We are excited about the advancements we're making in our autonomy program with our global autonomy partner PlusAI. Building on our fleet trials in Texas, the collaboration with NVIDIA and PlusAI is an important step on our path to production," Tobias Glitterstam, SVP and chief strategy and transformation officer at International, said.
The trucks will integrate lidar, radar, and cameras for 360-degree awareness and operate with SuperDrive software and NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor SoC for safe, scalable autonomous operation. This combination provides fleets with redundancy, sensor fusion, and high-speed AI inference to handle complex long-haul environments efficiently. Learn more…
J. J. Keller launches VT100 to combine ELD compliance and GPS tracking for fleet managers
J. J. Keller & Associates recently introduced the VT100 Vehicle Telematics Device, combining ELD and GPS tracking in one unit to simplify fleet compliance and visibility. The device integrates with the Encompass Fleet Safety & Compliance Platform, supporting hours of service (HOS) compliance, real-time vehicle location, and optional standalone tracking.
“The VT100 is a game changer for fleets looking to simplify their compliance and tracking workflows,” Jason Hartwig, associate director of product management at J. J. Keller, said. “By combining ELD and GPS tracking into one device, we’re helping fleets reduce hardware costs, eliminate installation complexity, and gain real-time insights into both driver compliance and vehicle location.”
Designed for Class 1-8 vehicles, the VT100 supports multiple driving scenarios, transmits engine and vehicle data even offline, and offers features like geofencing, IFTA/IRP reporting, and maintenance alerts. Fleets gain a single, plug-and-play device that enhances operational efficiency while maintaining FMCSA-compliant ELD functionality. Learn more…
