Peterbilt Motors Co. is rolling out a new proprietary stainless steel, cowl mounted air cleaner and cap, developed in partnership with Donaldson Co., for its Models 389, 388 and 367 trucks, in both 13 and 15 inch diameters for single or dual side installations.

The new proprietary air filter within the cleaner -- developed by Paccar, Peterbilt’s parent company – uses nanotechnology to aid in trapping sub-micron contaminants, extend maintenance intervals and prolong engine life.

Additionally, a new air filter seal has been designed to reduce contamination and facilitate easier inspection and servicing, the company said.
