Caterpillar will offer special coverage for its '07 on-highway ACERT engines delivered in the U.S. and Canada between January 1 and June 30, 2007.

Called Caterpillar Pure Confidence, the program includes extended service coverage (full parts and labor) on engine and emission components for 3-yr./300,000-mi. on all C9, C13 and C15 engines, and 3-yr./150,000-mi. on all C7 engines.

In addition, if the engine needs repairs that will put the vehicle out of service for more than 24 hours, Caterpillar will reimburse the user for a rental vehicle to get the load to its destination on time.

According to Caterpillar, the more than 100 pre-production engines being tested by 56 fleets are demonstrating fuel economy that is “right in the ballpark” to current Cat engines.
