Alcoa updates wheel spec data guide

April 9, 2013

Alcoa has updated its product handbook with new detailed cross referencing, full technical data and increased fitment options.

The 2013 Alcoa Commercial Vehicle Wheels Spec Data Guide Catalog (Spec Data Guide), features a complete product portfolio, including 45 wheel part number “families” with corresponding finish options for heavy duty (tractor & trailer), wide base, bus and medium duty fitment applications. This annual update now includes cross-reference information to obsolete part numbers up to two generations back where applicable and full technical data, including mounting system, offset and load rating data.

The revised Spec Data Guide also features greater detail on finish option codes and additional coverage of medium duty part numbers highlighting a full portfolio of available Alcoa aluminum wheel finish and fitment options, covering Class 3 through Class 8 applications. In addition, the Spec Data Guide offers corresponding accessory information for each wheel part number.

The newly revised guide continues to utilize color coding to enhance readability of the many data fields.

“Our number one goal remains focused on meeting the needs of our customers,” said Todd Hershberger, vice president, sales & marketing – North America, Alcoa Commercial Vehicle Wheels. “The approach in updating the Spec Data Guide is a result of feedback our team gathers from the field in order to ensure we’re providing customers with products, and reference materials that are valuable solutions.”
