Radford is Ryder’s top tech

Sept. 3, 2015

With the keys to a brand new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 3LT sports car and trophy in hand, Stephen Radford officially cinched the title of “2015 Top Technician” during Ryder System’s annual truck technician skills competition held at Mack Truck’s Customer Center in Allentown, PA.

After advancing through three demanding rounds of written and hands-on tests, eight finalists competed in the final round of  the competition, which consisted of 10 rigorous hands-on skill tests on vehicle electronics, preventive maintenance, and air conditioning.

“I am continually impressed by our technicians and their commitment to ensuring that repairs get done right the first time,” Robert Sanchez, chairman and CEO of  Ryder,  said. “Our Top Tech competition is a testament to the value we place on our technicians, and the Corvette is a symbol of the appreciation we have for them. They truly are the backbone of our business.”
